Introducing.....

Korbin Kinkaid Clark!

So I know this post is way late but I have been busy trying to entertain 2 little boys! It's crazy how fast time flies and to think that it's already been 3 weeks since this adorable little guy entered our lives!
so story first then more pictures! At the beginning of my pregnancy I was certain that Korbin was going to be early just like his brother, due to my history with blood pressure. The entire pregnancy my blood pressure stayed awesome so then I started thinking I was going to make it to my c-section date (Feb 17). Jason actually laughed at me because I made it a personal goal to make it until then. I had an appt on February 2nd where my blood pressure spiked really high and I was showing signs of pre-eclyampsia (sp?) . My doctor said with my history she didn't want to risk anything so we had 24 hours before he needed to be here. Needless to say I was a little stressed, Jason had got off work late and wasnt at the appt with me so I had to plan it all without him plus we were supposed to move the next day (needless to say that got postponed to next week). We spent that night getting a few last minute things, going out to eat and enjoying our last time as a family of 3. The next morning Kyler went to his grandparents while we went to the hospital. When I got hooked up to the monitor I was having regular contractions, which was so weird because I wasnt feeling any. They put an IV in and a few minutes later Jason had to go get a nurse because my arm was swelling up. The nurses were surprised that I wasn't in pain, just weirded out by my arm swelling. Apparently that's supposed to be painful. They had to poke my 3 more times before they found a vien that didn't collapse. Then it was just time to wait for our turn for the or. There was an emergency csection that bumped us back so needless to say we got bored and were so excited when they said it was time for us to go!
Korbin was born at 2:53 pm weighing 7 lbs 12 oz and was 19 inches long (big boy for being over 2 weeks early!). He is adorable and has been such an easy baby! We are loving him in our family!
And for anyone who cares, I am doing great! Apparently I heal really easily and the planned c-section was way easier then the emergency c-section! I loved having Jason home for a week to help me out and now I am slowly figuring things out by myself while he is at work.
Now pictures!

Our first family picture!
His coming home outfit, minus the pants.

Kyler had a great weekend with his grandparents. He especially loved hanging out with uncle ben and grandpa.
Kyler has adjusted really well to Korbin. He still gets jealous at times but most of the time he is trying to hug or be around his brother. Kyler has always hated blankets so he is constantly taking blankets off of Korbin. It makes me laugh. He loves to make sure that he has toys to play with!
Korbin is even loved by his cousins!
He is our little chunky monkey!
I will hopefully get on again soon to post more about our life and post the pictures that my sister and I took. Sorry I've been such a slacker at blogging!

Yay for an update!!

So for some reason I woke up early this morning wide awake. Jason and Kyler are both zonked out so I figured I would update really quick before I go wake them up to get ready for general conference.

First off the exciting news I know you all have just been waiting to hear....We are having a boy! I am so excited! I think that it will be fun to have 2 little boys so close in age and hope that they are best friends. I had been feeling that it was a boy for the last few weeks so I wasnt surprised when I saw it. Jason said he woke up the morning of the ultrasound knowing it was a boy. I know he wanted a girl but he is so excited to have another boy (we'll have more kids anyway). He loves playing with Kyler and with another boy, I better just watch out. They will all be ganging up on me. We are planning on naming him Korbin Kinkaid. Here are some pictures of the handsome little guy!

Sorry not the best pictures, they are pictures of a picture. He was super camera shy around his face. He is just like his big brother and didnt want us to see what he looks like before he is born.

We had a gender reveal party for our families that night. It was fun to get together with everyone and have good food. I think that everyone was really surprised it was a boy. I got the impression that the vast majority thought that it was girl. I was a disappointed after the party because I got the impression that the grandparents were not excited that he was a boy. I've already stated my feelings on how I hate that girls tend to get favored more and I'm trying to ignore it when people do it. I love my boys and Jason does too and thats all that matters. We wouldnt change them for the world!

Kyler is getting to be so big. I cannot believe that in less than 3 weeks he will be a year old! Where did time go? I still feel like I am pregnant with him and here he is growing all up. He has become mobile and is crawling everywhere. He loves to get into everything!! I dont know what I am going to do when he starts walking. He is trying so hard to figure it out. He has already figured out how to climb stairs and has been trying so hard to go down them (too bad mom keeps catching him before). He is a little escapee and notices the second a door or the baby gate is open and tries to get out. He got 2 teeth when he was 8 months and this past week 3 teeth have started poking through! You have to be careful because he is a biter and he tends to think its funny when you quickly pull away. Daddy has learned this a lot!

He is such a goof ball and knows he is funny! He does things and then looks at you with the look of arent I silly?! He is always laughing and smiling! He is so fun to play with! He is still scared of most adults, especially men but LOVES other babies. He gets so happy when he sees another baby or toddler, especially his cousins. I love that he knows who each of his cousins are. He is going to be so good with his little brother! I think that he is a perfectionist and practices things when we arent looking. There was awhile there that I knew he was crawling because he would move places but I never saw him crawl. Its like he practices when we arent looking then impresses us with his skills. silly boy! Now some cute pictures of this handsome little man!

Jason and I are doing well. He is working so hard and is such a great provider for our family! I love that he does all he can so I can stay home with Kyler. We are both taking a full load at school. We are signed up a ballroom dance class and it has been so fun to learn lots of new dances or at least be reminded how to do them. We are enjoying being scout leaders. It's teaching a lot about how to handle young boys which I will definitely be able to use this experience. Life is wonderful and I'm so grateful for all that the Lord has blessed me with! The Lord really knows us better than we do ourselves because my life is far greater than I ever could have asked for. I love my little family so much! :)

Well I hope you enjoyed our update and if you did you should comment! :) I have to go wake up the boys so we can have a great day being uplifted by the word of the Lord! I love General Conference!

So I need to get on again and update since its been a month but I just thought I would say we are doing well! Kyler has become mobile and is headed everywhere.

I was just getting on really quick to say that we find out next friday if Kyler is getting a little brother or a little sister and we want guesses! :) There is a poll on the side so make a guess! Will our next little one be a boy or a girl??

where has summer gone?

I swear it was just yesterday that I blogged and here it is 3 months later. Crazy! It has been a hectic summer.
We got all moved in. Its been great living here except for all the road construction. They claim they will be done at the end of the summer but I'm not seeing that. Kyler actually transitioned really easy which was one of the biggest things I was worried about. Kyler is just great like that.
In June we went to Washington to visit family. It was so good to see everyone. My little sister came home while we were there so sadly we missed her homecoming but it was good to see her when we came home.
When we got home we got a surprise present .... a positive pregnancy test. We are so excited! This baby is due February 20. Jason and most of our family think its a girl. I'm undecided myself. I'd definitely be very happy with either. I'm excited to see kyler as a big brother. He loves other babies so I know he'll be an amazing big brother. It definitely has been hard with all the morning sickness. Poor Jason and Kyler they have to put up with me all the time. Plus I've noticed I am quite hormonal. I get so annoyed a d aggravated by everything. It has definitely been entertaining.
I wish I could say that the last month has been as exciting. Jason's Grandma had a heart attack and spent some time in the hospital. Shortly after my great Grandma died. Even though it wasn't sudden it was quite sad. She was an amazing lady and was one of my favorite people when I was younger. I was sad that when we were in Washington that I didn't get to see her. Her memorial service was this past weekend. I wasn't able to go but I hear it was rather interesting. Sadly the day of her service my grandpa passed away suddenly. If you could keep my dad in your prayers I'd much appreciate it. This was his Grandma and dad. Cherish the ones you love each moment that you are around them has been our big lessons this month.
Other than that we are doing well. Jason us working so hard for us he is the best husband. And dad. Kyler absolutely loves his dad. He gets the biggest smile when Jason comes home. We're just gearing up for school to start. Seriously where did summer go?

Woman's Conference

Kyler is sleeping on my chair so instead of waking him up right now to put him to bed, I thought I would write a post about the amazing woman's conference I went to today!
There was wonderful food, music, classes and people to be around! It was just what I needed to get myself rejuvenated and back on course to being a better me! My mom came with me and it was so wonderful to have her there with me.
The first part of the conference was classes. There was 6 to choose from and we each got to go to 3. It was so hard to choose which ones to go to because there all looked so good. the first class I went to was on incorporating exercise into everyday life. She gave us a sheet with a 100 ideas to a healthier lifestyle. I have had so much fun looking over it. Here's to me getting myself a healthier lifestyle.
The second class was on finding the spirit in your home. This was probably my favorite class! I learned so much. Some of my favorite things I wrote down are
**What you sacrifice, you'll gain
**Dont let someone else's actions control your actions.
**Do what the Lord wants and everything else falls into place.
**Always remember the eternal perspective
**I control the atmosphere of my home, make it one the Spirit wants to reside in.
It was so uplifting and made me feel like I can help my family become closer to the spirit!
The last class I went to was on family time. The theme she revolved around was Love is spelled TIME. It was really good. I got lots of ideas how to make my time with my family more productive and help us grow closer together and with the Lord.
Next there was a speaker. Sadly I didnt get to hear too much because Kyler was tired and I was getting him to sleep. What I did get out of it was to look up even in tough situations.

It was an amazing conference and I learned so much. The spirit was so strong and it was wonderful to be around so many strong women that I admire. Kyler even loved it. He was so good through it, mr. happy baby. I think that we should have something like this more regularly! I absolutely loved it and have so many goals to work on.
Well I better get the little man to bed but I was just so excited about my wonderful day I had to share!

5 months

So this is a couple weeks late but mr. Kyler is 5 months old! He is getting so big! He is 16 lbs 4 oz and 26 inches tall. Personally I think he is taller, the lady seemed to be shrinking him on the table, but thats just my personal opinion. I can't believe how quick he is growing up, he will be 6 months in a week in a half!! oh my! more about our little man:
*He loves to investigate things! You have to beware what you have by him because he will grab at it. His favorite are hands and faces. He loves figuring things out!
*He is sitting up! For about the last few weeks he has been sitting up by himself and he has become so good at it. He loves when we go shopping that he can ride in the cart. He loves to look around.
*He is a social baby, especially to baby girls. I can always figure out when there is a baby girl in the room because Kyler wont take his eyes off them as he talks to them. Oh boy, I already have a flirt on my hands.
*He loves food! His favorites that we have tried are squash bananas and avocados. He loves when I mix foods together and will eat almost anything with rice cereal in it. He dislikes peas and peaches but will eat them with rice cereal. Such a silly boy. We've given him a sippy cup a couple times which he loves, which is so crazy since he HATES bottles.
*He is such a happy baby! I always get asked if he is always so happy and the answer is yes, most of the time he is. He loves to laugh and giggle. He smiles at almost everyone! :)
*He has started teething which means long nights for mom since he gets up a lot. We both cant wait until the tooth pops through! He is always sucking on whatever he can find and usually my shirt has drool spots on it. I'm kinda crazy and kinda like it-it just proves i'm a mom! which is the best job ever!

We love our little man and cant believe how quick he is growing up! It was this time last year that I had my first appt with the dr and we heard his heart beat. Its crazy how much has changed in such a short time but I wouldnt change any of it! Kyler is such an amazing blessing in our lives! :)

enjoy the photos!

Something you never want to hear...

I am sure many mom's would agree with me but baby weight is really hard to get off. I thought I would have it easy losing all my baby weight because I only gained 12 lbs. I mean I have been losing weight but its all been coming off in my thighs, well while I was pregnant I really only gained in my stomach, thus my stomach area has been a problem area. So onto my story...

Last saturday, I was taking care of the nursery during a relief society activity. I was taking a little girl to the bathroom, carrying Kyler. She turns to me and says oh exciting, you have another one coming! I said another one? what are you talking about. She pointed to my stomach and said you have another baby on the way. :(

Gah, I know it was a child and children say the darnest things but now I really need to work on having a flat stomach! so if anyone has some wonderful ab exercises please let me know. My lower stomach is still tender since my c-section, so if anyone has any ideas to help there, I would much appreciate it!
