our love story!

Since my story didn't work in the last post and I can't edit it off my phone so I'm just going to write a new post! Here is our love story that won the contest!!!

Jason and I met while working at wendy's our sophomore year in high school. After flirting for almost a year I got up the nerve to ask him on a date (yep I asked him first!) The plan was to go to a play together. We enjoyed the play and decided on dinner after. After dinner, neither of us wanted to go home so we went bowling and talked until our curfews, we didn't want to leave! The next week, we hung out a lot outside of work and talked on the phone. We had a big group date planned but we had different dates. We ended up spending most of the date together anyway. We went on a couple more dates when jason asked me to be his girlfriend! We spent as much time as we could together. It was another 2 monthes before we kissed. It was Jason's first kiss and his friends had a tradition that you owed everyone cookies when you got your first kiss. It was the night of my jr. Prom (we went to different high schools) and as we were saying good night, he said that he wanted to owe his friends cookies. After another 5 minutes, he kissed me. It was cheesy but completely perfect!! We dated for a year and a half before Jason left to serve a LDS misson. We broke up when I started dating one of his good friends(yes I know completely awful of me!). Jason was such a good person and kept writing me, so we stayed in contact his whole mission. When he came home we met up with some friends and we got talking. As we spent time together I could see that he had completely forgived me. I already knew that I loved him but it was at this point I knew this was my true love. After a few weeks we started dating again. During this time, jason said he wanted to get married but that he wasn't ready, it'd be another couple years. In all actuality he was already planning it. Before I tell you the story I have to tell you my dreams for my proposal. I wanted both sets of my parents asked. I wanted it to be a complete surprise but I wanted a certain ring and I wouldn't go ring shopping with him for it. I also wanted it to creative and recorded. (Ricidulous I know but he accomplished them all!) He got on my phone when I wasn't lookng and sent himself a picture of the ring I wanted, then went and bought it. He planned the proposal for a week after we went to visit my birth mom and family in washington because he wanted to ask permission from both sets of parents, which he did! On the day he proposed, we had plans to go to a rodeo. I had to work before so we decided I would meet at his house after. I got there and his car was there (he planned every detail even taking his dad's car so I would think he was there) so I went to go get him. His mom said he wasn't home and handed me a camera. I pushed play and there was a recording of cute cowboy jason. He said he wanted to play a fun game before the rodeo and was sending me on a scavenger hunt. He said to go talk to the good managers of the south where the good food and memories were (WENDY's). I drove there so quickly! On the way I called my friend and said I think Jason is proposing. She knew he was and had been helping him but she convinced me that it was just a fun date because jason likes to do that. It made it better that she did that! At wendy's I talked to my favorite old manager and she whipped up all of my favorite foods and in the middle was another camera disc. This clue told me to head to the places with the willows to play our favorite game. Jason and I love to play ultimate frisbee at willow park so I headed straight there! There I found my sister and friends playing frisbee. I played with them and when I caught the frisbee I felt another camera disk on the bottom of it! I quickly quickly ran off with it(I was having so much fun!). This clue said to go to a place where we love to study the Gospel together and where we can be sealed together forever. I quickly went to the temple. There I found a book and 2 cute dogs guarding another clue. This one said to head to Green canyon and find something silver (his dad's truck). I got up there and found Jason! We went on a hike and talked about life. I could tell he was way nervous but I didn't dare dream he was proposing for fear he wasn't. He asked me 5 times how I was doing, it was cute. We sat on some rocks and were just talking about our time together. He stopped suddenly and said if I don't do it now I won't. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Apperently my initial response was a high pitched "are you serious?!" Then I of course sad yes! After all the hugging and kissing, we drove to our brother in law's house where Jason had our families and friends waiting to celebrate! It was incredibly perfect! We were married 2 1/2 monthes later and its been absolutely wonderful! He is my prince charming and its not like the fairy tale I dreamed of as a young girl, its even better. To me this is what true love is and I wish that everyone can be as happy together as we are! :)

Waiting...

I'm currently waiting for Jason to get out of class so I figured I would update our blog....so fun right?!

we'll start with new years. we celebrated with my family, it was a lot of fun! My parents always throw a big bash for the family. My favorite part this year was rocking out to rock band as loud as we could...oh and finally after waiting for awhile, getting my first new years kiss! :) I'm so excited for this new year and all that's awaiting for us!
On January 2nd, Jason and I got a new nephew. Duncan James Clark was born at 1030ish. He is SO cute! I love babies and I'm so excited for Chris and Ray!
Jason had his last week working for my dad. He's excited to get away from working outside but he enjoyed working there. he's still working at walmart while going to school.

He started school this week. It seems to be starting off well! :) We have an institute class together which i'm way excited about. I love institute, it is so uplifting! I think it is going to be a great semester.
I've been looking for another job which is way frustrating! as i'm sure many of you will attest too. I'm planning on quitting Chrysalis in 6 weeks so i'm praying i find a new job by then! If any of you know anything, let me know!
We've been keeping busy but enjoying our time together! We are loving the wii we got each other for Christmas, it has been such a blast! :) Now we just need time to slow down to play it more...or at least so we can spend more time together!

hope you all are doing well! Leave a comment!

Ponderings...

I've realized lately that I can be a really jealous person. I wish that I was up where everyone else it at even when its not my time yet. I get so jealous when I see my friends with babies or hear that they are pregnant. I was so jealous before Jason got home, when all my friends were getting married. I'm learning that the Lord knows whats best for me and he has my future planned perfectly for me. I know that everything comes when the time is right. I know that I married that most amazing guy at the perfect time for me! I'm learning to appreciate my life exactly as it is now. I love being able to spend time with just my hubby whenever I want (okay when work or school dont interfere). I love not having to worry about anyone but us. I love being so committed to Jason. I guess what I am saying is to stop and smell the roses. No matter how stressed life gets, look for the things that make it wonderful. I know I'm a few days late but this is my new year's resolution, to enjoy life as it is now. I know this next year will bring many new changes, which I am excited for (i love change, i know wierd!) but i'm going to enjoy each day for it what it is! Because each day is a gift from God!

"The clock is running. Make the most of today. Time waits for no man. Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present." -Alice Morse Earl

I hope each of you enjoy each day to the fullest!! :)

Yesterday I got a call from my dad, he was talking to one of his friends and this guy just raved about Jason! He didn't have a bad thing to say about him and went on for awhile saying what a wonderful guy he is! This completely made my day! :) I know jason is an amazing guy, in my eyes he's the best person ever but I love hearing about it. In the past week or so I've gotten calls from 3 people just saying how great he is! :) so I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has called to tell me!!

Jason is truly the best person I know, I'm so incredibly lucky to be married to him! He is my best friend! He can make me laugh no matter how upset I am. I can talk to him about anything and he doesn't think I'm stupid (even though I ask stupid questions!) He spoils me rotten!! He works so hard to support me. He is SO cute with kids and is going to be the best dad one day! I love watching him in nursery, all the children flock to him! He has so many dreams for our future and I know that he will make them all come true! He is so spiritual and is constantly helping me learn. I love going to the temple with him! Jason is the one person who truly understands me and I love him so incredibly much!!! This is a shout out to my bestest friend!!!! :)

Insert funny title!

Things have been so crazy lately. I cannot believe how quickly time has been going by. I'll try to give a brief update on what I remember. Sorry there will be no pictures i am just up at the library and dont have access to pictures.
This past week we have both been sick with the stupid stomach flu. I got it first and sadly passed it on to Jason who then passed it on to my entire family, sucky. Its the worst and i'm sorry for any of you readers who might have had it.
We both enjoyed Thanksgiving! The night before we went to my parents to help make pie. This was when Jason was sick so he just sat on the couch and rested. I helped my mom make our usual 22 pies! crazy crazy! Thanksgiving day started with Jason going to play in his home ward's turkey bowl. Its something he looks forward to every year. He invited my little brothers, trevor was the only one who played but ben came to watch. Elsa dexter and Roxy joined too. We had fun wondering around even though it was freezing cold. Jason and Trevor had fun.
We spend Thanksgiving day at my parents house but they invited Jason's parents and grandma over so it was a big family celebration for us! There was so much good food! ooo...I love thanksgiving! and even more I love celebrating it with Jason! :) After dinner we played this game called squiggles...very weird but it was fun. I lost horribly...haha!
I had to work the grave that night, which is never fun. but I got off work at 4am and Jason, Sasha, Liz and I went black friday shopping! Sasha and Liz wanted Nintendo Ds so I said I would take them. Sadly by time we got to the store they were already out. We still all shopped anyway! Jason and I got some movies and games for way cheap! :) It made us happy. We saved over $250 and we only spend 100!!! I have never been black friday shopping before but I can definitely see how people get so addicted to it!
I worked that whole day so i didnt get to see much of Jason so Saturday we spend together. We were planning on celebrating our first thanksgiving together that day but we got busy helping Jason's grandma so we didnt get time to do it :( but its all good. We got a christmas tree and set it up. We sadly havent put the directions up on it yet. silly us. We got the start of a Christmas village which i am so excited about. We got a house and we figure each year we'll add a building.
Sunday we both had to give talks at church. Sadly I got so nervous that I talked so fast that I left a half hour for Jason to speak. I felt so bad. oh how i hate speaking in front of people but oh well. Jason did wonderful! :)
We went over to his parents to celebrate thanksgiving on sunday. I enjoy it there, they are all so sweet. I know that I need to get more friendly with them, I am still just so nervous. I dont know why, probably still worried that they hate me for what happened while Jason was on his mission. I'm probably just worrying thouhg.

Thats how we've been lately. Just enjoying life together! :)

Thankfuls....

With Thanksgiving approaching right around the corner, I thought I would spend a moment to share some of the many things I am thankful for! :)
1) The beautiful world we live in.....
We are blessed to live in such a beautiful place. No matter where you look you can see the hand of the Lord and all the blessings he gave us. I love to look at all the beauty around and feel the Lord's love. I cant even imagine how much more wonderful and beautiful it will be to live with him but I cant wait! :)

2) Friends.....
(You will have to excuse the fact that most of these pictures come from our wedding but its where I have the most pictures of everyone!) I am so thankful for mine and Jason's friends. I know for a fact that we would not be who we are today without them. They are always there for us and we love them dearly. You could not ask for a better group of friends and I hope they all know how much we appreciate them in our lives....and they all should come visit more! :)

3) My girls....
These 2 plus their roommate are probably my favoritest people alive...they are my girls! They truly are the sweetest girls you will ever meet and they light up my live. They are truly unforgettable, no matter where life takes me, these girls will never be forgotten! I love you girls!

4) Technology...
I know that this is something I need to be better at but I depend on technology so much. I dont think I could go through a single day without using technology (i am starting to feel pathetic) so technology is something I am definitely grateful for. It makes things easier for me and probably makes my life a lot less boring...as long as I dont spend all day with it!
5) My education...
I am truly grateful for the education that I have and am learning. I love learning and making my mind work. I am grateful to USU for letting my gain my education there! Here's a shout out to the aggies! :)

6) Work....
No matter how much I despise work some days I am truly grateful that Jason and I both have jobs and make enough money to get the bills paid. We are in no way rich....far from it, but we make enough to live reasonably for which I am truly grateful!

7) I am a daughter of God...
I am thankful that I know that I am a daughter of God. I know that he loves me and I truly love him. He has given me so many blessings in my life. Life would truly be unbearable if I didnt know this. I am thankful for his guiding spirit that helps me each and every day. Thank you Heavenly Father for always being there for me!

8) The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saint...
I am so blessed to be a member of the true church. The Gospel provides so many blessings in my life. I am grateful for the knowledge that it provides me with. I would not be who I am today if I did not have the Gospel in my life.

9) My Savior...
Words can not describe the love that I feel for My Savior. I am so thankful to have such an amazing big brother who died for me and my sins. Because of him, I can be forgiven and be able to live with Him and my Father again. I am truly so blessed that Jesus Christ loves me so much and I love Him too.

10) Emma Smith...
Emma Smith is one of my greatest heroes! I am thankful for her example in my life. She was truly courageous and a remarkable woman! I hope one day to be as remarkable as her!

11) Joseph Smith...
I am so thankful that this man restored the Gospel in the Latter days. If I didnt know that there is a God out there, then knowing that a 14 year old boy restored the true Gospel is reason enough to believe there is a God! He was an incredible man and someone that I look up to immensely!
12) Thomas S. Monson....
I know that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet of the Lord. I am so thankful that we have his guidance to help us in the Latter days. He is such an amazing prophet and I know that he loves all of us! I am thankful that I know this so that I can follow him!

13) The temple....
I am so incredibly grateful for all the many blessings that the temple provides. I am so thankful for the knowledge that I gain everytime I go. I am thankful that because of the temple and the covenants we make inside I am able to be with my family for all eternity. I am so thankful that we have a temple so close and I am able to attend it whenever I want. This is truly the Lord's house!

14) My family....

I have the best family ever! We are all crazy and loud but we are all always there for each other. I know that I was born into the right family. We may drive each other crazy but we love each other still the same. They are all my heroes and my best friends!

15) My siblings....
Could I possibly have cuter siblings??? I think not! They are all such wonderful examples to me! I am sending a shout out to each of you! My dear older sister, Kassi (or Kasaundra) has such a strong testimony! She is such an inspiration to me. My big brother Scott is someone that I know is there for me when I need him. My little brother Trevor is one of the funniest boys you'll meet. He is a great artist and I love the stories he writes (yes I kept them all!) He acts tough but he is so sweet and cares about so many people. My little brother Ben is such an amazing example to me. He is such a good listener and cares for all he meets. He is a friend to all. He has such a strong testimony and blesses so many people! My little brother Jonathan is so talented and does so well at growing in his talents. My little brother Tony is such a caring boy! He is so fun and such a talker! My little brother Daniel loves all. He is so musical and loves to share his abilities! My little sister Maggie is a star! She is always so happy and bubbly, she makes everyone want to smile!

16) Elsa..
How many of you thought I forgot her??? of course not, she is definitely someone you could never forget! This is my adorable little sister and my best friend! She is always there for me. We probably talk and laugh too much...but then again could you ever do that. She is such an example to me! She is so fun and full of life! She loves everyone she meets and is a friend to all! If you ever need a laugh or a smile, this is a girl that you need to go talk to! i love you sister!

17) My parents....
These are the best parents that a girl could ask for! They are such an example to me! They have done so much for me and I will always be repaying them for all they did. The one thing I remember growing up is that they were always letting us know how much they loved us and each other! They have taught me so much and are still teaching me! I love them both so much!!! :) Thank you mom and dad for all you have ever done for me and will continue to do!!

18) My "other" family...(aka the in laws)
I married into such a wonderful family! They have welcomed me right in and I know they love me! I love them all too! I love how much fun we have with them and how sweet they all are! There arent many people who would record a show for me just because i dont have cable! :) I know that Jason is who he is today because of the family that he is in! I am so grateful for how they raised him!

Last but certainly not least....this amazing man....
19) Jason Kinkaid Clark...
I am so incredibly grateful for my husband! He is my best friend! He is the most caring person ever. He is always trying (and mostly succeeding) to make me laugh. He always has so much fun and makes sure that everyone is included in his fun! He has such a strong testimony of the gospel and is such an example to me. He definitely makes sure that I am thinking as we study the scriptures or the doctrine together! He is truly the most amazing person ever!
I am so thankful that I am married to him and that I get to spend the rest of forever with him! I love him so much! He is my everything and definitely my better half!

Thanks for reading about everything I'm thankful for and know I suggest that all of you go do the same!! Its such a great thing to do!!
