Kyler!

My baby is growing up! we went in for his 4 month appt on wednesday and got all his stats! He weighs 15 lbs 2 oz and is in the 50th percentile. He is 25 1/2 inches tall and in the 75th percentile. His head circumference is 17 in and also in the 75th percentile. He definitly has the miller head, big! He is a tall little boy especially being Jason and my son. Some fun facts about him:

**He loves his exersaucer, He jumps so much and has the biggest smile on his face the whole time he is in it.
**He loves to stand up and move his legs, he has been doing this for the past few months. He is so strong and I think he might be an early walker. The doctor was even impressed with how good he is at standing.
**He has no interest in rolling over. He knows how and has done it a couple of times but very rarely. He has been trying to figure out how to crawl. I have a feeling he will be crawling before he rolls over regularly.
**He loves to talk! especially when others respond. He will carry on a conversation for as long as you talk with him.
**Before his shots, he was sleeping for a 7-8 hour stretch at night. I am hoping we get back to that soon!
**Kyler loves his grandpa (my dad) They play a lot together whenever they are together. Only mom or dad are allowed to take him from grandpa. He is definitely a grandpa's boy!
**We started him on rice cereal. He does so well at eating it but I dont think he loves it, just tolerates it. He loves to lick nilla wafers and goldfish.
**Kyler loves to play with his daddy. Its funny people always ask us if he is a mommy or daddy's boy but I think he is both. He loves to play with daddy but when he wants to be cuddled, he is all about mom!
**He is the happiest baby and the most amazing son! We love him so much and are so glad he is part of our family!

Now for some recent pictures of our adorable boy!

Lots of pictures....

I am horrible at updating this blog...oops! We have internet now so hopefully I will do better about keeping this updated but then again a very adorable little boy keeps me very well entertained!
We have been doing well, staying busy. Jason and I both are back at school again, I am just going online. I am also working on medical transcripting and hopefully will finish soon so that we have a second income coming in. Jason is still working at walmart but also has an internship this summer. He is working for College Works Painting and he is basically running a small painting company for the summer. Right now he is doing a lot of marketing so if you know of anyone who wants the outside of their house painted, Jason would love to do it for them :)
Kyler is growing up so much! He is such a happy baby and is always smiling for us. He loves to talk and move. He hates sitting still, when he is on our laps he likes to be standing or jumping on us. He is going to be such a mover once he learns how to crawl and walk...I better be ready! We absolutely adore him to pieces, he always keeps us entertained. I am so lucky to be able to stay home with him, I love being his mommy! People always ask us if he is a mommy's or daddy's boy and we think that it depends on the time. When he wants to cuddle, he prefers to go to mommy but when he wants to play, he prefers daddy! It amazes me how everyday I love him more and how much my relationship with Jason has grown since we've had him. We love being his parents! Kyler weighs over 13 lbs! People are always telling me how small he looks and how they cant believe that he weighs that much, Jason says that clarks hide their weight well, haha! Either way, Kyler is just so adorable. Last week when we were at dinner with some friends, this older gentleman came up and told us we have the cutest baby ever, I dont think I have stopped smiling :) I love when others agree with us how cute he is!

Now for pictures (sorry this is quick, Kyler decided to wake up so I need to get him back to bed.)

I took this after a bath one day and it has become one of new favorites! He is just so handsome!

Our first family pictures :)

Jason say this toy story chair at walmart and wouldnt let me leave until we bought it. Kyler fits perfectly in it.

Kyker loves our ceiling fan, he will smiles so much at it! Look how big he looks in his bumbo chair!

So as many of you know my little sister is serving a mission. She left before Kyler was born and so therefore hasnt met him. My older sister jsut had a little girl who Elsa also hasnt met. We decided it would be funny to dress them up in each other's clothes and say look how big Gracie is compared to Kyler. Jason told me Kyler is going to burn this picture when he's older...lol.

Sorry I will finish putting captions on pictures later, Kyler needs me :)

Kyler at 2 months old. We thought we would take pictures at milestones next to his duck but we have been failing and this is the only one we have so far...oops!

Kyler loves his tummy time mirror!

This is the first smile we captured! Doesnt he have the cutest smile?!

Kyler and his cousin Duncan. Kyler was only 2 weeks old and Duncan is 11 months in this picture. Kyler has been blessed with lots of close cousins. He doesn't know what to think of Duncan right now since Duncan always wants to tackle him.

Blessing day!

Kyler received his baby blessing on December 5. It was an amazing day! We had so many family and friends that came and supported him. Jason did a wonderful job delivering the blessing, the spirit was so strong there! I am so grateful for my husband being a worthy priesthood holder so that he is able to use it when it is needed! :) Here are some pictures! Thanks again to all who supported us on this special day!

We love our handsome little man!! :) Thanks for reading!

Introducing Kyler Lynn Clark

This is way behind but I thought I would officially announce on our blog that our wonderful son was born! Kyler Lynn Clark was born on October 21, 2010 at 7:52PM weighing 6 lbs 2 oz and 19 1/2 inches long. He is absolutely perfect and we couldnt be more blessed to have such a wonderful son! Now for the story (since I'm sure you all want to know!) and then you can look at more pictures of our little man! I had an appt on Tuesday October 19. Jason and I both knew that something big was going to be decided here since my blood pressure has been high. We figured that she would talk of not letting me go past my due date or something like that so the dr surprised when she said she wanted to induce me the next day!! We were both so surprised! We left shocked and in a hurry to get all the last minute things done before he came. We showed up at labor and delivery at 7:30PM the next day, nervous but so excited. They checked me in and got me hooked up to all the machines. They then started me on Ceradivil (sp?) to soften my cervix and then they were going to start pitocin in the morning. Jason fell asleep quickly on the couch only waking up to help me to the bathroom (he had to unhook all the machines) but I could not sleep, finally at 2am the nurse gave me something to help me sleep, thank goodness. At 7am they checked me and I was at 1cm...lame! but they started me on pitocin and the contractions slowly started. With pitocin they usually slowly increase the dosage to help labor progress but everytime they increased the pitocin his heartrate would drop so I stayed at the lower dosage. at 1:30 the dr came in and broke my water, the contractions got really bad then. They came every 30 secs (no joke) and lasted about a minute. After about an hour with no break the nurse checked me again and I was at 2cm. I asked for an epidural so that I could get a break. With epidural they usually want you to be 4 cm so the nurse gave me some narotics first. They did not help with the pain at all and only made me sleepy. Its really hard to go through contractions while sleepy! Lucky for me, the nurse called the anthelogist and he came and gave me an epidural. It worked right away and was wonderful! I could not feel a thing! Since I had the epidural they tried to up the pitocin again but it again just put Kyler into distress. My dr came in at this point and checked me. I was only to 3 cm. She told me that she was worried about the baby and felt that we needed to get him out. She was headed to do a c-section but asked that we decide what we want to do while she was gone. Jason and I talked and prayed about it. We had both also been worried about the baby and the distress he kept getting in. We both felt that a c-section was the right choice for us. We called our parents and let them know while we waited for dr. craig to come back. Once she came back and we told her our decision, time went so fast. They had me sign papers and had jason get into scrubs and they rushed us to the or. I remember sitting there worried that I was going to feel the whole thing but all I felt wasressure especially when they pulled him out of me. Jason watched the whole thing through a reflection and when they pulled Kyler out, they had him stand up and watch. They showed him to me and then they got him cleaned up. They then set him on my chestfor a few minutes before they took him to the nursery. I could not take my eyes off him and I bawled when him and Jason left. they finished sewing me up and took me to recovery where my blood pressure spiked. They wouldnt let the baby come in until it lowered. It was the worst sitting there alone! Jason came in shortly which helped my blood pressure. After about a half hour they brought Kyler to me and we got to have quality bonding time before we went up to our room and the grandparents came to visit. Kyler has been the most wonderful baby. We really could not ask for a better son. He is so cute (especialy since he looks so much like his dad!) PS in case you were wondering, I, thankfully, had an easy recovery from the c-section. My dr came in and talked to us after. Kyler was stuck in my pelvis so she said that it was a good thing we did the c-section then or else we would have had to do an emergency c-section later. She also said that I will most likely always have to have c-sections since I have a small pelvis. This was the hardest thing for me since I've always dreamed of having my children vaginally but having him and knowing that he came to us healthy is the most important thing, not how he came. Plus I figure this way I can plan all my children's birthdays! :) PPS Kyler is growing wonderfully and is now almost up to 8 lbs. He is 3 1/2 weeks old and amazes us every day! He loves to stare and look around with his big beautiful eyes. He loves to cuddle. He is just perfect! right after birth Kyler had some Jaundice from being born early so he had to spend a couple days on lights. This is how he sleeps, He always has to have his hands up, its just so cute! He helped me hand out candy on halloween! He loves taking naps with daddy! He is learning how to play with his rattle! One morning, mommy and daddy were so looking forward to sleeping but at 7am Kylerwas ready to play! grandma got his pictures done when he was a week and a half old. He is so cute! Thanks for reading!! I will try to be better about keeping this up to date! please leave a comment! Have a great week!

10 weeks left, crazy!!

Hello blogging world...lol!

As you can tell from the title I am 30 weeks along (and one day now) in this pregnancy! I cant believe that I have just about 10 weeks until I get to meet our little man! oh my I cant wait but that also means I have lots to stress about, we still have so much to get!! haha we have it all picked up its just a matter of going and getting it now, good thing I still have 10 weeks left to do that. He has become quite the kicker and stretcher. I absolutely love feeling him move...most of the time. When he decides to stretch into my ribs while I am trying to work it makes it a little difficult or when he head butts my ribs, I sometimes want to complain..lol! Jason and Kyler have come up with how to play tag through my stomach, its kinda funny. aw, Jason is just going to be the cutest dad! We start our birthing classes next week, which shall be entertaining! My baby shower is going to be in a few weeks, I'm quite excited for that! I hope that I get to see a lot of people that I havent seen for awhile, showers are my time to see people again! So hopefully i'll see some of you! Now for the classic baby bump picture (how I have slacked at taking these...oops!) Here I am in my 30 weeks of glory (excuse the look of a LONG day)
and of course Jason thought we needed a close up the belly with our little boy in it!!

Life has been keeping us busy otherwise. School started this week, so now we have even less time together :( which depresses me but we make do. Jason is going to school full time, just trying to finish up his generals and get into the business program. I am taking 2 online classes through USU which seem like they will be fun. Hopefully I can stay caught up once Kyler makes his presence. My other big project is I am taking a medical transcriptioning course. My goal is to be done with that course before he comes which is a hefty goal, so just a warning I may not be blogging much, I am trying to focus on that! So far its been good. Jason is still working at walmart (which is busy with all the students back in town) and he's doing lawn spraying until october. So he is super busy. I am working away still at impact. got to love it!

I'm really excited about a really sweet purchase I got recently so i'm going to tell you all about it! Jaci has some mad skill, you can all go check out her creations here. I have been drooling over her hats for monthes, so I finally convinced Jason to let me get some (it is probably a good thing I am having a boy because I probably would have bought oodles of hats for a little girl no matter what jason said :O) Anyway I love Kyler's new hat, I cant wait to see how cute he looks in it. I got Elsa the blue one to keep her head warm in chicago and then I bought myself the black and red one. I am actually looking forward to cooler weather so that I can wear mine! Anyway really go check out her site all of her hats are adorable, I had the hardest time making a decision on which to have!

The last big news of this blog, is like major news and I cant believe its already here!! One year ago this saturday, I spent my day like this......
okay that picture was really taken a few weeks before but you get the picture!

We had so many family and friends that came to celebrate with us!

but the only person I was focused on that day was my best friend!!

He is just the most amazing person ever!! and yes we owe it all to Wendy's, no wonder it is the most common place for us to go out to eat!
I seriously cannot believe that it has been a year since we got married (and whoever would have thought that i'd be 7 months pregnant on our one year anniversary :O). This past year has been absolutely amazing! Jason s truly the most amazing person that I have met and he lights up my life! I honestly cannot imagine my life without him and I cannot wait for the many more anniversaries we'll have together! I love you so much dear!!!!!!!!!! <3 :)

Anyway sorry about all the mushiness....that's about it for us here!! We're keeping busy and loving life together!! Hope you all have a wonderful day, week, month...until I post again!! back to studying i go.....
