Living it up in the sun!

We are seriously loving summer!! We definitely been busy and the summer seems to be flying by but it's been fun!
A couple weeks ago was the annual grandparents day at the zoo. Since we don't have a baby this year (first summer since Kyler was born) we sent the boys without us. They seemed like they had a ton of fun. When we met up with them for dinner they were so excited to show is their new stuffed animals(an elephant and a sloth!)
A favorite activity this summer has been chalk paint (corn starch, water, and spray paint). It usually requires a bath after but the boys love it and request it every day! I love Pinterest successes!
Since its been so warm we have been finding different ways to stay cool. We play a lot in the pool, which is definitely a hit! I thought about squirt guns this summer but I saw my neighbor just using squirt bottles so I tried some. My boys LOVE it! Kyler sprays us all down and doesn't mind being squirt himself (which he normally hates others getting him wet). Korbin hasn't figured out how to spray anyone but himself. It provides us with good entertainment.
This is kyler signing cold, he likes to do that after he sprays someone to ask if they are cold.
One especially hot day we decided to go to a movie with grandma, aunt kassi, uncle AJ and Gracie. We saw monsters university and absolutely loved it! Both boys were great through it, which I was worried about since it was their first movie. Kyler danced through the songs and Korbin had a huge grin through the whole movie. We all seriously recommend it!

Other than all that, we have just been enjoying life and being together.
Korbin got his first real haircut and all his curls are gone! Mommy came close to crying and really hope it comes back.
If there was any doubt, kyler loves his Mickey!
Dancing with lion.
I seriously live this picture!
We eat a lot of Popsicles!
Korbin wants to walk everywhere like his brother, luckily his brother loves to help!
Korbin sleeps in the weirdest positions.

Independence Day!

Look at this, it's the day after 4th of July and I'm already blogging! This was kind of a low key is probably why.
We started off our 4th of July the night before with the Logan fireworks. Korbin was asleep long before they started but luckily we had good seats right outside our place. Kyler stayed up for them and loved all the glow sticks the neighbor kids gave him. About halfway through he started saying he was done so we went inside. He was asleep before the fireworks were over. Silly boy!
Helping dad plan his show.

Jason shoots off the Hyrum fireworks show so he was up and gone early to set up. He was planning on meeting us for the parade but didn't end up having time. So just the boys and I went to the parade with my family. They didn't know what to think of it, which is funny because this wasn't their first parade. Korbin warmed up and started cheering with his aunt kassi. I think that all the noise was hurting Kyler's ears though, he spent most of the parade on my lap and preferred I cover his ears during loud noises.
The beginning of the parade.
Mimicking aunt kassi's cheers

We then went home for nap time and to relax. Kyler found some stickers and put them all over himself. He was pretty excited.
Then we went shopping with my family for clothes for Trevor's wedding. I found a shirt right away and am making my skirt and the boys ties. All we have left is Jason's tie so pretty successful. We then went to dinner at chuck a Rama where Korbin got spoiled by grandpa.
We then got Jason dinner and brought it to him and spent some time with him. Then we were lame and went home. I wanted to watch Jason's show but sadly I wasn't feeling well. Both boys were asleep before we got back to Logan  and slept through the night(even with all the fireworks!) so I think they were wore out!  Jason said it was good show besides a couple of the shells exploding on the ground. We hope you all had a wonderful 4th. A special thank you to our troops for serving and protecting us and our country!
I sure am proud to be this marine's sister! We are proud to be Americans!

Bear lake!

Jason's mom rented a cabin for the weekend and boy did we have fun with family!
Excited to go!

We went up on Friday afternoon. We enjoyed exploring the cabin. There was a loft that the kids all loved! We had yummy tin foil dinners, played kickball and ended the night with a movie!

Saturday morning, we left right after breakfast for bear lake. It was a perfect day for the beach! There was one little storm that came through but it didn't deter us! We had lots of water toys. Kyler liked the floaties after he realized they would hold him. Korbin wanted nothing to do with the floaties. I don't think he liked that they constrained him. He wanted to crawl all through the water, silly kid has no fear and definitely kept mommy on her toes!

All of the kids loved the sand! They got so dirty and definitely had a blast! Us adults(mainly the guys) enjoyed playing too.  I am still finding sand everywhere!

My dad brought the boat up for us and we all enjoyed cruising! We got the tube out and had a blast in that. Korbin thought he was pretty cool driving the boat with grandpa! Kyler LOVES the boat and kept asking to ride!  He fell asleep both times he rode. My sister came up with my dad. It was fun to spend sometime with her and Gracie!
Other than that we just enjoyed the beach! We ate lots, talked and laughed a lot, slept and just enjoyed each others company!
We went back to the cabin and had some more food (we seriously ate a lot).  After dinner this cute older gentleman offered rides in a car he restored. He had 4 cars he was working, it was really cool. The kids all loved the rides. After he set up a gas station area for pictures. Seriously so cool!

After the cars, we headed back to the cabin for bedtime. Both my boys got a second wave of energy and took awhile to sleep but after a movie for Korbin and a pickle for Kyler they crashed.
Sunday we woke up and went to church. I love how everywhere we go we can still go to church and feel the Lord's love. It was interesting to go to church in a small town but the gospel is true, everywhere you go.
After church we packed up and went home. Both boys were asleep within 5 minutes and slept the whole way home.
As soon as we got home, Korbin found Mickey and gave him lots if hugs. Then he had a long conversation with him, I assume telling him about our trip.
We definitely enjoyed our mini vacation. Family time is always a great time!
