Mickey!

Jason and I have talked a lot about wanting a pet. We had pretty much decided to get the boys a puppy for Christmas. We thought more about it and realized that probably wouldn't be the best time for us to devote to a puppy. We also want a cat and dog and we thought it would be easier if we got a cat first. So we thought that sometime down the road we'd get a cat.
Then we went to summerfest and a little girl was giving away kittens. We fell in love with this little guy.
We talked and made a quick decision to take him. We will hopefully be moving soon and can have cats. We were originally going to have Jason's sister take him but we decided we wanted him to get used to our family so we are hiding him until we move.
He has been the best little kitty and we all love him. Korbin probably the most. He chases him and loves to give him hugs. He realized he can pick him up so we are constantly rescuing Mickey. Mickey still loves Korbin though and is always coming up to play with him.

Kyler hasn't quite figured out that its a kitten and that he moves. He wants the cat to sit in one spot so he can pet him. He loves to play with the string and Mickey.
Mickey loves Jason and follows him everywhere when he's home. He loves to explore outside so we have to be very careful when we open the door. Luckily he stays close so when we move he can spend sometime outside.
He is quite the climber. The first few nights we tried different barricades at the bottom of the stairs to keep him downstairs to roam but he has managed to get past all of them. So sadly he gets locked in the bathroom at night.
Mickey has been so fun to have and im excited for the many more adventures we will have with him!
Telling Mickey about our trip!
Mickey got so excited about the cat food commercial.
Korbin loves his Mickey!
Kyler does too!
Playing!
His favorite place to sleep!

The sweet calming spirit..

I have had a strong feeling that I need to write a blog on this so here I am..

I am so incredibly thankful for the gift of prayer and the Holy Ghost.  Jason and I are working towards some big exciting changes, like I talked about recently.  It makes me so excited when I think about it.  Satan has been working hard though and keeps me thoughts of doubt.  We have had some bumps in the road, which is common with any new adventure and I sadly have to say each time I get so doubtful.  Jason often reminds me to say a prayer, since I have mentioned that everytime I have prayed about it I get a peaceful feeling.  and its true.  During everytime of doubt or really every little prayer that I have given about this, and there has been many, I get a calm feeling.  I know that we are making the right choices for our family.  I have no idea how it is going to work out but I know it is oging too.  For thru the Lord, anything is possible.

I am so grateful for the Gospel and for my Heavenly Father.  There are so many things in my life that I know I couldnt have got through without him.  He truly loves all of us, even little old me! Everywhere I look I see all the love he has for me and I will never stop being grateful.

Kyler

It's hard to believe that it has only been 2 1/2 years since our little man was born and forever changed our lives! He never ceases to amaze us each and everyday.
Kyler is going to be a class clown one day I think. He loves to make people laugh and is always trying to find funny things to do. The bigger reaction he can get the happier he gets!

Kyler LOVES airplanes. Whenever he sees one in the sky we all have to stop to wave at the airplane and blow kisses. He carries his toy airplanes almost everywhere and loves when others play with him.
Kyler cares so much about others. When we get ready to go places, he grabs everyone's shoes for them. He always makes sure that Korbin is taken care of and will usually share his toys or snack with him. It honestly amazes how sweet he is.

He has had a rough couple months with breaking his leg, then having his tonsils and adenoids removed but through it all he had a smile on. He is such a happy boy. We got so many comments from nurses and doctors on his smiles and happiness.
He is slowly starting to talk more. Even with his speech delay, he is very effective at getting his point across. He is also pretty patient as he tries to explain what he wants. He gets so excited when he learns a new word. I love watching him learn!
Kyler loves to play outdoors! He is always asking to play outside and could probably spend all day outside. I can't wait until I have a backyard so I can send him an korbin out back while I clean. Both boys would probably say outside is their favorite place.  He had so many friends in the neighborhood and loves it even more when they are outside too.
Kyler is super affectionate.  He loves to give hugs and kisses. Some of my favorites moments is when he is playing and will randomly come give me a hug. Then he will grab my face and give me a big kiss. He is such a sweetheart.
Kyler is our thinker. I love to watch him when he encounters something new. He always stops to try and figure it out. He has an amazing memory. I try to trick him and hide some toys for a few months so he thinks they're new. But as soon as I bring it back he remembers what it is and is showing it to korbin.
Kyler is a bit if a perfectionist and OCD. He doesn't do well with change since he knows how things go and expects you to do it like that.
Kyler is the best big brother. He is always watching out him. He helps him so much.  He loves to tease him but has his back more than anyone.
He always makes his mom feel loved and  tries to be just like his daddy.
I could go on and on about both my boys. We sure do love them. I am so grateful that The Lord trusted us to raise such amazing little boys.

Korbin

Today I got to spend some extra alone time with this cute little guy since he woke up early and boy do I love this little guy!

It's amazing how different he is from his brother but how I couldn't love them any differently. They both melt my hearts everyday.
Korbin is so adventurous. He is always climbing and exploring. He has no fear except for walking. Silly boy has taken a couple steps but knows that he gets around quicker crawling. He loves to wrestle and truly shows how tough he is.
Thus is his growling face as he shows his muscles!
Korbin thinks he is the biggest kid and gets so mad when he can't do something that the bigger kids are doing. He is constantly learning and amazes me all the things he has learned just by watching. His mind seems to always be running on full speed as he figures everything out.  Jason mentioned the other day how korbin is one to not stop and think how things work but will try over and over again until he figures something out. It's fun to watch him learn.
Korbin loves the water! I think sometimes he wishes he could be a fish and live in the water. Whenever I turn on the water he comes running and he gets so mad when I tell him I am just washing my hands. He loves baths. Jason's work party is at the aquatic center this week and I am so excited to take Korbin. He is going to LOVE it!

Korbin loves to help. The other day I heard him fussing in the kitchen. When I went in to check on him he was below the silverware drawer with a spoon trying to get it in. He was trying to unload the dishwasher and wasn't quite big enough to put the dishes away.
He loves to eat. You definitely should not get in the way of his food. We are working on not shoving out mouth full of good but it's a slow process. He only has 2 teeth but that doesn't slow him down one bit. He loved to share and often tries to feed us, sometimes food from his mouth, which he gets mad when he declined. Such a silly boy.
Korbin loves to play peek a boo and is quite possibly the cutest kid ever playing peek a boo! Makes me smile every time!

Korbin loves our little family. He is always giving hugs and kisses. He loves to mimic what we are doing and loves to make us smile. There is no one he loves more than his big brother. They have a special bond. He always wants to do what Kyler is doing and learns so much from him. I love to see their relationship grow'

I'm can't believe how quickly he's growing up.  He still seems like my little baby and can't seem to get into my head that he's a toddler already. I can't imagine our family without him, he's always making us smile. We sure do love our Korbin!
