Hawaii 2019

Our 10 year anniversary is in September so we decided to sneak away for an early anniversary celebration.  We spent a week on the big island in Hawaii.  It was amazing!

So excited to head out!

We saw the golden gate bridge!

So the airport on the big island is on a huge lava field, kinda cool!

Our rental was right on the beach! (a rocky beach but still!)

Jason was so excited to rent a jeep for the week!

We ate so much yummy food!

Our second day there we went on a kayaking & snorkeling adventure!

After which we enjoyed some yummy snow cones!

Every night we weatched the sunset, it was amazing!

The next day we set out to explore the volcano national park.

On the say we stopped at the black sand beach.

Where we got to see Sea turtles!

The Volcano National park was So cool!

The sea turtles were my favorite!

This ground was younger than us!

I could not get enough of the sunsets!

Attending the temple was one of my favorite parts of the trip.  It was so incredibley special!

He's my favorite!

I probably took too many pictures of our food but it was so pretty and so yummy! This was the perfect meal after some early morning snorkeling!

We went to the beach everyday, even on the day it was cloudy.  We were the only ones on the beach that day but that didnt stop from enjoying the waves.

Dancing in the rain!

We warmed up with some yummy pho.

Our adventure one day was going to the green sand beach.  You can pay for a ride but everything I read advised against it as it was technically illegal for cars to be on the path.   It was actually a fairly easy hike, mostly hot but we enjoyed ourselves!

It was so worth it!

There are only 5 green sand beaches in the world.  It was so much prettier in person!

The waves were wild but Jason loved it!  A sea turtle even swam right past him.

Our last day we spent at the beach.  We actually rented a boogie board that day and had so much fun with it!

Our last sunset was gorgeous!

I miss the food!

Headed home, sad to be leaving the perfect week but so excited to see our kiddos! We cannot wait to go back, hopefully soon!
