Colorado

Back on August 2, Jason's whole family decided to take a trip to Colorado to visit his grandparents, mainly his grandpa who isnt doing too well.  It was a very quick trip, in the planning and going.  It was decided about 10am that we were going and we left a little after 2pm.  Luckily Jason had stayed home that day (he got sent home the day before because of a stomach bug and was still feeling sick that morning.  again lucky us, he started feeling mostly better by time we left)
Kyler getting ready to help dad clean out the car and pack it for the trip.
This is how we entertain Korbin while we pack the car, put the silly boy in the driver's seat and give him sunglasses.  He loves pretending he is daddy!
We carpooled with Christian, Jamie and Lydia which was fun, its always nice to have more people in the car to keep things entertaining.  Kyler loved having Lydia and he was an angel this trip!
We caravaned with Jason's parents, Chris, Raylene and Duncan.  This was our view most of the trip!
Korbin did not find the drive entertaining one bit!
We arrived in Colorado about midnight.  We had let the hotel know that we were going to be arriving late, but sadly still had some issues, that just worked towards our advantage.  Once we got settled into our rooms, we quickly crashed and slept in the next morning.  Our car was having some issues on the trip down, that thankfully Chris knew how to fix, so him and Jason headed to fix it first thing saturday morning.
We shared our room with Chris and Ray, which made it easy for Ray and I to take the boys to breakfast together.  Kyler loved having Duncan around so much.  He was spoiled on cousin fun this trip.
Random picture at breakfast.
After breakfast and the boys got back we headed to Jason's grandparents. His grandpa was having a hard time with large amounts of people so we mainly hung out outside and took turns going in to see him.  There was a swingset that the kids loved and his grandma had some yardwork for the boys to do.

Kyler loved this swing!

I hate that I'm squinting because I kinda like this picture of our family!

The humidity was definitely different in colorado, Kyler was sweating so much!
Great grandma Clark pulled out a ball toy that the boys loved!
Kyler kept trying to figure out where the balls were coming from!
Grandpa helped them out with shooting the balls, they were entranced!

After we visited for awhile we headed to a park for lunch.  This was probably the coolest park, I have seen.  There was so much for the kids to do and the boys loved it!  I have been trying to get my boys to enjoy the splash pads in Utah but they arent a fan of the water just shooting out of the ground, add some colorful tubes and they are in heaven.  I dont know how much food they actually ate since they were so busy playing.

Silly boy needs to learn how to walk!
He's saying the water got on my head mom!
Soaking wet boys!
Daddy makes the water play more fun!
There was this cool frog slide that Kyler thought started on top of the frog!
Everytime, he would climb on top of the frog and then slide off to go down the slide.  It looked so uncomfortable.
Korbin loved the slide too.
Kyler was proud of Korbin!
Jason's family! The crazy thing was we took this trip 3 years ago to visit Chris and Ray when they were living in Colorado.  That trip we traveled with no kids (Kyler was in my belly :)) and Duncan was just a baby.  3 years later we traveled with 4 kids, kinda crazy!
Everyone that had lunch with us at the park.
After lunch, we headed back to the hotel for naptime.  We tentatively planned to go to the fair after naps.  Neither of our boys slept long so Jason and I hit target really quick.  We walked in and the skies look like it did in the previous pictures, lovely blue skies.  When we walked out 30 minutes later, the it looked like this....
thunderstorms with tornado warnings.
Needless to say, we did not go to the fair.
We went swimming instead!
That night we went and had dinner at Old Chicago Pizza with some more family!
There was a wait so the girls went to JoAnns and the boys went to sports warehouse.  this is them racing back for food!
Jason's cousin brought one of their little girls and Korbin loved her.
Korbin also made another friend with his Great Uncle Gary.  He convinced him to help him walk everywhere, Korbin loved it!
Sleepovers with cousins are the best!
The next morning we went to Sacrament meeting and then headed home.  It was fairly uneventful ride home and we all made it home safely.
It was a fun trip and we hope that next time we go we can stay longer!
